Terms of service
Draft for review · updated 7 October 2026
Draft. This text is waiting for legal review and is not yet in force.
These terms apply to STRACTA, an online service for construction companies operated by [to be added before launch] at https://demo.stracta.ca. "Your company" means the customer company whose people use STRACTA.
The service
- STRACTA is a service for businesses, by invitation only. There is no public sign-up.
- STRACTA staff create each customer company and invite its first owner. The owner, and the administrators the owner chooses, then invite the company's own people.
Your company's duties
- Use STRACTA lawfully and only for your company's own work.
- Put a person's information into STRACTA only when your company has the right to, and tell your people how STRACTA uses it (see the Privacy policy).
- Keep passwords private, choose strong ones, and tell STRACTA support at once if an account may be misused.
Acceptable use
Do not try to reach another company's data, probe or overload the service, get around its limits or security, upload malware or unlawful content, or resell STRACTA without a written agreement.
Your data
- Your company owns the data it puts into STRACTA. It lets the operator host and process that data only to provide, secure and support the service.
- The data is stored in Canada (Supabase ca-central-1 and Vercel yul1). The Privacy policy lists every service provider, including Supabase, Vercel, Resend and, if used, Sentry.
Availability and changes
STRACTA aims to be available at all times but does not promise uninterrupted service. Features can change; a change that removes something your company relies on is announced ahead of time. [counsel]
Fees
Fees are set in a written agreement between your company and the operator. [counsel]
Suspension
The operator can suspend a company's access for misuse, a security risk or non-payment. Suspension keeps the company's data, and access can be restored.
End of service and export
Either side can end the service as the written agreement allows. Before the end, the company owner can ask for an export of the company's data. When the service ends, the company is suspended first; its data is then deleted by a recorded procedure, and backups age out within 7 days.
Warranty and liability
The warranty and the limits of liability are added here after legal review. [counsel]
Governing law
The law that governs these terms, and the courts that hear disputes, are added here after legal review. [counsel]
Language
These terms are offered in French and in English, as Québec's Charter of the French language requires for a contract like this one. [counsel]
